Jill Guettler has a degree in education and has been teaching elementary and preschool students since 1992. She was raised in the Methodist faith, has been a member at Lakewood Methodist since 2010, and an employee since 2014. She believes in creating a nurturing environment in Lakewood Kids Ministry where children and their families can come to know God, love God and live for God. Jill has been married to Steve Guettler for 35 years and they have three boys and a daughter-in-law.
Peggy Launikitis has been a member of Lakewood Methodist since 1996 and has volunteered many different areas of this church and worked here for many years. Peggy loves all things nature including gardening and being outdoors. She is passionate about creating caring & uplifting children programs and has two lovely sons, Andrew & David.
Before coming to Lakewood, Laurie had over 30 years of professional experience in graphic design, creative services, and executive support. She has primarily served in corporate communications and investor relations for a large oil and gas firm. After retiring early, Laurie worked as an independent creative professional and volunteered with various churches and organizations. Laurie joined Lakewood Methodist nursery staff in 2022 and became Nursery Coordinator in September 2023.
Susan Shipman holds elementary, special ed., music, and outdoor teacher education degrees. Her 36-year teaching career has included public (Illinois & Texas), private (Saudi Aramco & Deutsche Schule of Al Khobar), and the U.S. Department of Defense in Germany. She also served as an elementary children’s church choir director for most of those years. Along with her husband, Susan has served as director and accompanist of the Living Waters Choir since 2012. Her goal is to love the Lord, train children as worship leaders, enhance their Christian education through Scripture and prayer, and develop poise and self-confidence. Susan and her husband Steven have been married for 45 years. They have two adult children and three fabulous grandkids!
Megan Anway has a degree in music therapy and was raised in the Methodist faith! She has been a member of Lakewood Methodist since 2008, and has been leading the Creekside Carolers (K-2 choir) since the summer of 2022. She enjoys sharing her love of God and His word through the gift of singing. The choir children can then grow a deep connection between sharing and learning God’s word, choral singing, and service to others. Megan has been married to Randy Anway for 28 years and has four lovely children (two girls, 20 and 23, and two boys 19 and 8).
