LAKEWOOD PRAYER INITIATIVE

In Jesus’ Name Prayer Portal Entry: Thursday, June 11, 2026

Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens!
Praise Him for His acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness!
Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet; praise Him with the harp and lyre!
Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; praise Him with the strings and pipe!
Praise Him with the clash of cymbals; praise Him with resounding cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!

Refer: Psalm 150

Lord God Almighty, we thank You that You hold the world in Your hands. Thank You, Lord Jesus, that You have all authority and power in heaven and earth. (Matthew 28:18) Thank You, Lord, for putting all those in authority over us. Thank You that we can boldly proclaim that God is good, all the time.

1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, 4 for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, tan avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. 7 Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.

8 Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Refer: Romans 13:1-9

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in us the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and we shall be created and You shall renew the face of the earth. O God, Who by the light of the Holy Spirit did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by that same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy Your consolations, through Christ our Lord. Father, we pray for all those in authority over us at every level from local to national governments. Lord God, Your Word tells us that the heart of the king is in Your hands (Proverbs 21:1), So Lord, we pray that all those in government seek to do those things that are pleasing in Your sight. (1 John 3:22). We pray that You protect them from all evil doers, those that would lead them astray, and those that seek to divide us. LORD God, we pray that because they are Your servants and hear Your voice they will help us all to live peaceful and quiet lives. (1 Timothy 2:2)
