Infants to Age 3
Nursery available during Traditional Services (8:45AM & 10:00AM) and Contemporary Service (11:15AM). Check in at the Education Wing Lobby.
Age 4 to 5th Grade
8:45AM: Children begin worship with their families in the service. Following the Children’s Message, they will be dismissed to Kids Hang Time.
10:00AM: All children begin in The Lookout (E202) in the Education Wing for Kids Sunday School.
11:15AM: Children begin worship with their families in the service. Following the Children’s Message, they will be dismissed to Kids Church.
Check in your kids at the Education Wing Lobby prior to each service.
Students (6th-12th Grade)
10:00–11:00AM: Students meet in the Student Café for donuts, a game, and a Bible study. After that, they will break off into high school and middle school discussion groups.

What are the Sunday service times at Lakewood Methodist Church?
We offer four services every Sunday: Shalom at 8:00AM, Traditional at 8:45AM and 10:00AM, and Contemporary at 11:15AM. Our 10:00AM Traditional and 11:15AM Contemporary services are also livestreamed. Visit our Worship Online page to watch from home.
What should I expect on my first visit to Lakewood Methodist?
Your first visit is completely low pressure. Come as you are, stop by the Info Spot in the Commons, and one of our volunteers will help you get oriented. We recommend arriving about 15 minutes early, or 20 if you are bringing kids.
Is Lakewood Methodist a good family church in Houston TX?
Families are truly at the heart of everything we do. We have nursery care for infants, Kids Ministry through 5th grade, Student Ministry for middle and high schoolers, and a full range of adult programs throughout the week.
Where is Lakewood Methodist Church located?
We are located at 11330 Louetta Road, Houston, TX 77070, in northwest Houston near Cypress, Tomball, Spring, and Klein. We are one of the most established methodist churches in Houston TX and would love to meet you in person.
Do I need to be a member to attend Lakewood Methodist?
Not at all. Everyone is welcome to attend any Sunday service, no membership required. If you decide you want to go deeper, our Ministries page is a great place to find your next step.
When should I arrive?
We recommend arriving 15 minutes early (20 minutes, if you have kids) to ensure you have time to get settled.
Where do I go first?
Stop by the Info Spot in the Commons if you have questions. We have friendly volunteers to help at every turn—look out for anyone with a nametag or lanyard.
What should I wear?
You will see jeans, shorts, dresses, and business casual. Come as you are and join us!
What are services like?
Our Shalom service lasts half an hour with prayer, communion, and biblical teaching. Our Traditional and Contemporary Services include music, teaching, and prayer lasting about an hour.
Can I watch online?
Yes! We livestream our Traditional Service at 10:00AM and Contemporary Service at 11:15AM.
What programs do you have for my kids?
We have nursery care for infants through 3-year-olds, and age-specific programs for 4-year-olds through 12th graders. Visit our Kids Ministry and Student Ministry pages to learn more.
What if my baby starts crying during the service?
We love welcoming young families to our church—and we get it! Feel free to step out if needed. Ask a volunteer about our family-friendly spaces.
What if my kid needs me during the service?
At check-in, we’ll collect your contact info and let you know if you’re needed during the service.
