- Establish a daily rhythm of prayerful surrender. Make it a habit to start each day by inviting God to intervene and lead. This practice helps us attune our ears to God’s voice, making it easier to distinguish His guidance from the many other voices clamoring for our attention.
- Set healthy boundaries guided by God’s Word. Remember the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden? They found themselves in trouble partly because they lingered near the very tree God had warned them about. Are there “trees” in your life – places, habits, or influences – that you know you should avoid? Let God’s Word guide you in establishing wise boundaries.
- Find battle buddies. Throughout Scripture, we see examples of people facing challenges with companions by their side. Moses had Aaron, Paul had Timothy, and even Jesus sent his disciples out in pairs. Who are the trusted friends, family members, or mentors fighting alongside you in your spiritual battles?
