Thanksgiving
Thank You, Jesus, that You live to pray for each one of us! You are enthroned above as the King of kings. Your reign is revealed in constant, unceasing intercession for us. You pray with limitless joy, continually inviting us to join with You.
Scripture Reading
1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Prayer of Intercession
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace; where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love, for it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life (first prayed by St. Francis of Assisi).
Father, we join our hearts to pray together with You in Christ, our great Intercessor. We pray in the power of the Holy Spirit as one body, together with all the saints. We pray that every one of us will endure our cross, scorning its shame, trusting You to strengthen us and give us Your peace through each new day’s journey. Wherever we are, may we be Your peace-bearers, Your peacemakers.

Lord’s Prayer
Let us close by praying the words that Jesus taught.
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
