Call to Worship
Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory in the heavens. Through the praise of children and infants You have established a stronghold against Your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and stars, which You have set in place, what is mankind that You are mindful of them, human beings that You care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of Your hands; You put everything under their feet.
Thanksgiving
Jesus, thank You for setting aside Your glory to show us the true image of the invisible God. You defeated Sin and Death, our true enemies. You gave us the Holy Spirit so that we could behold and become more like You. In You, we are Your creative hands and feet. Wake us up to what You are already doing, that we may follow You wholeheartedly.
Scripture Reading
23 But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me. For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.” 24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”
Prayer of Intercession
Gracious Father, loving unconditionally, whose heart overflows with forgiveness, receive our thanks and praise. Gracious Son, giving sacrificially, whose body bled for our salvation, receive our thanks and praise. Gracious Spirit, flowing eternally, whose breath revives our faith and soul, receive our thanks and praise. Father, we join our hearts together with You in Christ with full power of the Holy Spirit. May we be Your hands and feet wherever we are and as we work together to prepare for our church garage sale. Arrange our schedules that we may share a part in this community-wide fundraiser toward missions. Strengthen our hands, bring joy in the activity. Watch over this part of Your body called Lakewood. For Your glory God, we pray in Jesus’ name!
As The Spirit Leads
Please continue in prayer for any personal, church, community, nation, or world needs, concerns, or thanksgivings.
Lord’s Prayer
Let us close by praying the words that Jesus taught.
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Thank you for joining us in prayer. We hope you join us tomorrow.
The LORD bless you and keep you.
The LORD make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
The LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
