Call to Worship
Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory in the heavens. Through the praise of children and infants You have established a stronghold against Your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and stars, which You have set in place, what is mankind that You are mindful of them, human beings that You care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of Your hands; You put everything under their feet.
Thanksgiving
Thank You, Jesus, for the way You pray with us. Thank You for receiving all that we offer to You. Thank You for filling us with more of You, growing us in Your Love. Keep us from conforming to the pattern of this world. You are here giving us heaven on earth now. You crown us with Your glory and honor everytime we follow Your lead. You walk beside us and behind us, even within us as we go. Thank You!
Scripture Reading
1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Prayer of Intercession
Gracious Father, loving unconditionally, whose heart overflows with forgiveness, receive our thanks and praise.
Gracious Son, giving sacrificially, whose body bled for our salvation, receive our thanks and praise.
Gracious Spirit, flowing eternally, whose breath revives our faith and soul, receive our thanks and praise.
Father, You and Jesus are One, just as we are one in Jesus by the Holy Spirit and He is in every one of us. You have made us a little lower than Your heavenly messengers. Yet, from Your place in heaven, You join us in endeavors that shine Your light on earth. We want to be Jesus followers in all that You guide us to do. Pour out Your Presence on all who enter Lakewood Church as we prepare for the garage sale and as guests from the community attend. Thank You for the Military Gift Card drive this week also!
As The Spirit Leads
Please continue in prayer for any personal, church, community, nation, or world needs, concerns, or thanksgivings.
Lord’s Prayer
Let us close by praying the words that Jesus taught.
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Refer: Matthew 6:9–13
Thank you for joining us in prayer. We hope you join us tomorrow.
The LORD bless you and keep you.
The LORD make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
The LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
—Numbers 6:24–26
