Sundays, November–December

This past Sunday, we talked about what it really means to honor one another from Ephesians 6:1–4. We saw that honor isn’t about status or position, it’s about value. It’s about recognizing whose name is written on each person. Like that old Babe Ruth bat that looked ordinary until someone realized whose signature was on it, our worth isn’t measured by what we do or how we look. It’s found in belonging to Christ. In Him, honor becomes love wearing humility, seeing others through the eyes of Jesus and treating them like they matter because they do.

As we celebrated All Saints Sunday, we remembered those who have gone before us, ordinary people who lived out extraordinary love. They weren’t perfect, but they bore the name of Jesus with humility and grace. Their lives remind us to honor one another not because we have to, but because it’s who we are as children of God. Let’s carry that same spirit into this week, lifting others up, loving well, and remembering whose name is written on us.
