Praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD, my soul!
I will praise the LORD all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save,
when their spirit departs, they return to the ground,
On that very day their plans come to nothing.
Blessed are those whose help is in the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD their God.

Refer: Psalm 146:1-5

Lord, today I thank You for giving me the words from an old hymn of faith – my hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and my righteousness.  I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus’ Name.…  When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay.  Thank You, Lord for being my solid Rock on which I stand!

9 Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. 10 Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. 11 Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. 13 Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.

Refer: Romans 12:9-13

I arise today, through God’s strength to pilot me,
God’s might to uphold me,
God’s wisdom to guide me,
God’s eye to look before me,
God’s ear to hear me,
God’s word to speak for me,
God’s hand to guard me,
God’s shield to protect me,
God’s host to save me from snares of devils,
From temptation of vices, from everyone who shall wish me ill, afar and near.
–St. Patrick’s Breastplate Prayer for Protection

Lord, we ask You to bless the women who faithfully serve on the Prayers and Squares Team, the Dancing Needles Team, and the Days for Girls Sewing Team. Through their steady hands and faithful prayers, many families and children are blessed throughout the world. May the blankets and quilts convey Your blessing and provide Your warmth and comfort to those who are experiencing illness, hospital stays, grief in the loss of a loved one or to those who reside in local nursing homes. May the supplies assembled through the Days for Girls Team provide care, protection, and encouragement for young girls who otherwise might experience humiliation, harm, and even absence from school, whether local or in a remote area. Lord, thank You for these ministries and the servants who offer Your love through them. May their love of You and commitment to help others in our community and around the world bring glory to Your Name. Lord, we pray for these ministries to flourish and spread Your steadfast love to others, in Jesus’ name.
