Thanksgiving
Heavenly Father, all-forgiving God, we thank You for the gift of Your Holy Word that contains the truth, wisdom, and teachings we need to live as Your children. Through the Scriptures, You guide us, correct us, encourage us, and draw us closer to You. We are filled with hope because You never give up on us. Even in our weakness, You remain faithful. We are filled with hope and gratitude for Your forgiveness and great love You so freely pour out upon us.
Scripture Reading
31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” 33 They answered him, “We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, ‘You will become free’?”
34 Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. 35 The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

Prayer of Intercession
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace; where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love, for it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. – Saint Francis of Assisi
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your mercy, patience, and unfailing love. Time after time You forgive us and guide us back to You. Help the people of Lakewood show patience, mercy, compassion, and kindness to others, and give us boldness to share Your love through our words and actions. Fill us with love, humility, and grace so that our lives may be a testimony of Your goodness. May our lives reflect gratitude for Your grace and bring glory to Your holy name through Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
As The Spirit Leads
Please continue in prayer for any personal, church, community, nation, or world needs, concerns, or thanksgivings.
Lord’s Prayer
Let us close by praying the words that Jesus taught.
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

The LORD bless you and keep you.
The LORD make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
The LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
