Praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD, my soul!
I will praise the LORD all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save,
when their spirit departs, they return to the ground,
On that very day their plans come to nothing.
Blessed are those whose help is in the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD their God.

Refer: Psalm 146:1-5

Lord, thank You that You are Sovereign and Trustworthy. You have declared “My Thoughts are not your thoughts neither are your ways My Ways – as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My Ways higher than your ways and My Thoughts than your thoughts.”

Refer: Psalm 55:8-9

25 For David says concerning him,
‘I saw the Lord always before me,
for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken;

26 therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced;
my flesh also will dwell in hope.

27 For you will not abandon my soul to Hades,
or let your Holy One see corruption.

28 You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will make me full of gladness with your presence.’

Refer: Acts 2:25-28

I arise today, through God’s strength to pilot me,
God’s might to uphold me,
God’s wisdom to guide me,
God’s eye to look before me,
God’s ear to hear me,
God’s word to speak for me,
God’s hand to guard me,
God’s shield to protect me,
God’s host to save me from snares of devils,
From temptation of vices, from everyone who shall wish me ill, afar and near.
–St. Patrick’s Breastplate Prayer for Protection

Lord, thank You for the vision You have given to our church – guiding people into a lifestyle centered around Your Son Jesus. As we continue to serve the homeless community through 249 & Hope, the Shower Ministry, the Matthew 25:35 team, and the Benevolence team, we pray that the volunteers serving and the individuals receiving help will experience God’s love, grace, and acceptance. Lord, we ask that You continue to bless these ministries and move in the hearts of others to commit their time to reach out and build relationships, beyond the walls of LMC, into our community. In Jesus’ name, we pray.
