Thanksgiving
Thank You, heavenly Father, that in Christ we have a firm foundation, solid, tested and true. Thank You for all the times and ways You have steadied us in times of trouble.

Prayer of Intercession
Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear that hears me.

Good and gracious God, Your extravagant love, grace, and mercy are beyond our capacity to fully grasp and we confess that sometimes we fall into the trap of thinking more depends on us than depends upon You. Sometimes we fear the future because of the chaos we see and hear in the world. Forgive us when we falsely grab for self-reliance and control. Cause us to remember that You dwell with us and within us. Call us to repentance, to stand more rightly with Christ and to walk more closely with Him in love. We pray this as Your children, Your body, Your church, in Jesus’ name.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as in heaven. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
