Call to Worship
Praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD, my soul!
I will praise the LORD all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save,
when their spirit departs, they return to the ground,
On that very day their plans come to nothing.
Blessed are those whose help is in the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD their God.
Refer: Psalm 146:1-5
Thanksgiving
Lord, thank You for loving us and giving us Your Holy Spirit to help, guide, and equip us to walk in Your ways and to serve others. Thank You for Your life within and through me.
Scripture Reading
3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. 4 For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; 8 the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
Refer: Romans 12:1-8
Prayer of Intercession
I arise today, through God’s strength to pilot me,
God’s might to uphold me,
God’s wisdom to guide me,
God’s eye to look before me,
God’s ear to hear me,
God’s word to speak for me,
God’s hand to guard me,
God’s shield to protect me,
God’s host to save me from snares of devils,
From temptation of vices, from everyone who shall wish me ill, afar and near.
–St. Patrick’s Breastplate Prayer for Protection
Lord God, thank You for the joy and excitement You bring to our church on Promotion Sunday. This day is the start of new classes, new relationships, and new Biblical teaching within Your Body the Church. Lord, please bless the women and men who will be Your mouthpiece, hands and feet in service to students moving to the next grade level or to others who move to new core groups and Bible studies. Bless the giving of time, energy, gifts, service, and witness to lead and teach Your word. As each group studies Your word and grows in knowledge of You, we pray that new friendships will be made and opportunities for spiritual growth will thrive. Father, we were created to worship You and be in community together – unified by Your Holy Spirit; therefore, make us one Body joyfully eager to serve You and magnify Your Holy Name for we pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
As The Spirit Leads
Please continue in prayer for any personal, church, community, nation, or world needs, concerns, or thanksgivings.
Lord’s Prayer
Let us close by praying the words that Jesus taught.
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Thank you for joining us in prayer. We hope you join us tomorrow.
The LORD bless you and keep you.
The LORD make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
The LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
