Thanksgiving
Thank You, Loving Father, for sending Your one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to show us the Way to You, to bring us the Truth of Your saving grace, and to lead us into Life everlasting, today, tomorrow, and always.
Scripture Reading
7 “You shall have no other gods before[a] me.
8 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 9 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 10 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.
11 “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
12 “Observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the Lord your God has commanded you. 13 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 14 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your ox, your donkey or any of your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns, so that your male and female servants may rest, as you do. 15 Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.
16 “Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
17 “You shall not murder.
18 “You shall not commit adultery.
19 “You shall not steal.
20 “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
21 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife. You shall not set your desire on your neighbor’s house or land, his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

Prayer of Intercession
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in us the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and we shall be created, and You shall renew the face of the earth. O God, Who by the light of the Holy Spirit did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by that same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy Your consolations, through Christ our Lord.
Father, we enter summer and a season of many new opportunities for children, students and families. We ask for Your guidance and blessing upon the gifts of summer camps, mission outreaches, Vacation Bible School, midweek and Sunday ministries. We pray for personal relationships with Jesus to be established and strengthen; young disciples, formed. Lord, send Your Spirit upon servant leaders to be the heart, hands and feet of Jesus. We ask for an abundance of love, laughter, and creative ways to celebrate You and Your loving presence. Thank You for loving all Your children with so much sacrificial love; give us Your passion to love as You do. We pray for all families who may be food-challenged during the summer and ask that our Matthew 25:35 ministry provide Your compassionate care to make a difference in Jesus’ name.
As The Spirit Leads
Please continue in prayer for any personal, church, community, nation, or world needs, concerns, or thanksgivings.
Lord’s Prayer
Let us close by praying the words that Jesus taught.
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

The LORD bless you and keep you.
The LORD make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
