Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Refer: Hebrews 4:14-16

Lord God, as we have received Christ Jesus the Lord, let us so walk in Him, be rooted and built up in Him and be established in the faith, as we have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Thank You, Lord, for our mentors in the faith, those who teach Your precepts, and encourage us to greater faith and a deeper relationship with You. May we, in turn, be faithful mentors, teachers, and encouragers to others as we all grow in Your word together.

21 Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

Refer: James 1:21-25

Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear that hears me.
(first offered by St. Patrick, Breastplate Prayer of Protection)

Gracious God, we pray for LMC mentors who are establishing a new relationship with a student (or renewing a previous relationship) to see the fruit of their faithfulness. May these mentors be well received by their student mentee, and may both student and mentor be blessed by You and the time they spend together with You.
