Thanksgiving
Thank You, heavenly Father, that You are Abba Father. And that You have placed us within the gift of family. LORD, the love of family is often one of life’s greatest blessings. We are filled with gratitude as we recall to mind, life is filled with various ages and stages and each moment comes as a gift of love from You. Help us, we pray, to honor You in every age and stage and enable us to to become the people You created us to be. Thank You for the precious families of Lakewood, families of every age and stage.
Scripture Reading
5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

Prayer of Intercession
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in us the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and we shall be created, and You shall renew the face of the earth. O God, Who by the light of the Holy Spirit did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by that same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy Your consolations, through Christ our Lord.
Father, thank You for all the ways You have provided for us and our family, materially and spiritually. Today we place our family into Your hands for we have, at times, failed to treat one another as we desire to be treated. We confess that, at times, we forget Whom we belong to and our forgetfulness can spill over into strained and broken relationships, fracturing families. Gift us, good Father, with repentance, reconciliation, restoration, and healing so that we may live, abiding in Your love and in fullness of Your joy and blessing. Thank You, in Jesus’ name.
As The Spirit Leads
Please continue in prayer for any personal, church, community, nation, or world needs, concerns, or thanksgivings.
Lord’s Prayer
Let us close by praying the words that Jesus taught.
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Thank you for joining us in prayer. We hope you join us tomorrow.
The LORD bless you and keep you.
The LORD make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
The LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
