Call to Worship
Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow; praise Him, all creatures here below; praise Him above, ye heavenly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!
Thanksgiving
Holy and loving God, thank You for loving us. Thank You for loving us when we rejected You and when we choose our own way. Thank You, Jesus, for Your obedience and sacrifice. Thank You, gracious God for forgiveness and redemption in Christ Jesus, our Savior. Holy and loving God, thank You for loving us.
Scripture Reading
6 When they came, he looked on Eliab and thought, “Surely the Lord’s anointed is before him.” 7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
Refer: 1 Samuel 16:6-7
Prayer of Intercession
Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear that hears me.
(first offered by St. Patrick, Breastplate Prayer of Protection)
LORD God, delegates of the Global Methodist Conference have nominated candidates from whom some will be elected Bishops to serve this Your fast-growing denomination. Lord Yahweh, we lift before You these nominated candidates. We pray that You direct the hearts of the Delegates and voting decisions toward the candidates of Your choice for we rely on and trust You, Your thoughts, Your ways, Your wisdom, Your will. And we praise You for looking beyond the surface and to cultivate hearts that are pleasing to You. In the powerful name of Jesus our Lord and Savior, we pray. (from the GMC General Conference Prayer Guide, Rev. Titus Ibrahim Loh, Northeast Nigeria Conference)
As The Spirit Leads
Please continue in prayer for any personal, church, community, nation, or world needs, concerns, or thanksgivings.
Lord’s Prayer
Let us close by praying the words that Jesus taught.
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Thank you for joining us in prayer. We hope you join us tomorrow.
The LORD bless you and keep you.
The LORD make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
The LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
